How to get an endless supply of content ideas.
We often hear social media gurus saying we need to create content our audience “finds valuable” in order to get engagement and grow.
That’s all well and good, but the difficulty is figuring out WHAT to post! There’s nothing worse than having to schedule content for the week and then you have no cooking clue what to talk about. Right?!
Well, today I want to show you my fool-proof method to find the hottest topics related to your niche or industry that your ideal customer is actively searching for and asking for. GOLD!
Then you can go forth and confidently create content because you KNOW this is what your audience actually wants to see.
So what are these gems, you ask?
Google Trends
This website is amazing for uncovering what people are searching for as it relates to your industry. You can plug in a term and Google will show you search trends related to that term, broken down by region, timeframe, category and search type.

Pinterest + YouTube
Type in a term and you’ll see related searches which is a great way to quickly find what people are searching for. You can also quickly see the types of top-performing content on the platforms. Take not of video and image trends and apply them to your own content. (PS - Don’t forget to look at the YouTube COMMENTS - another source of inspiration! :)
TikTok Trends
Like Google, TikTok also has a trends page that you can use to look for trending content and accounts in your niche. TikTok is currently where most online trends are born and you’ll often find popular audios from TikTok only appearing on Instagram reels weeks later. So if you want to be an early adopter and get traction first (and fast), uncover the trends on TikTok and apply them to your Instagram reels.
Your DM’s
Pay attention to the questions customers ask you in your DM’s. Keep a document of these FAQ’s and use it as a source of content inspiration. This is the BEST way to create content because it’s what YOUR people want to know.
Online forums
Online forums such as Quora are an amazing place to find the questions people are asking! Simply type in what you offer / your niche and see what questions come up. Create content addressing these questions (Your HOOK) and voila! Engaging content right there!
